Trinity Private School Students Visit PHAETHON and Gain Hands-On Experience in RES

The PHAETHON Centre of Excellence was pleased to welcome a group of 33 Lyceum Year 2 students from Trinity Private School in Limassol on 20 March 2026, as part of their Renewable Energy & Environmental Club activities.

During their visit, students engaged directly with cutting-edge developments in Renewable Energy Sources (RES) through an interactive, hands-on learning experience. PHAETHON researchers delivered on-site demonstrations covering key areas of modern energy systems, with a particular focus on photovoltaics, energy storage, and smart city technologies. The sessions provided valuable insights into how these innovations are shaping the transition towards a more sustainable energy future.

The visit forms part of PHAETHON CoE’s broader educational outreach initiatives, which aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications. By fostering early exposure to advanced research environments, the Centre seeks to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and sustainability leaders.

PHAETHON CoE extends its sincere thanks to its team members, Dr. Andreas Olympios and Mr. Demetris Marangis, for sharing their expertise through engaging presentations and fostering meaningful discussions with the students throughout the visit.

Schools and educational groups interested in visiting PHAETHON CoE are encouraged to arrange a tour of the facilities.

Visits are offered free of charge and can be scheduled by contacting the Centre at +357 22 892211.
