Transforming to Excellence
PHAETHON is a Teaming for Excellence Horizon Europe project that will lead to the establishment of the PHAETHON Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Research and Innovation (R&I) in the field of Intelligent, Efficient and Sustainable Energy Solutions, signalling in parallel the evolution and upgrade of the FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy of the University of Cyprus.

This research focus represents a key area of significant growth potential and high priority for Cyprus – the green and digital energy transition are wholly aligned with the Smart Specialisation Strategy of Cyprus (S3Cy), and the European Union – addressing the EU Climate Action, European Green Deal, and REPowerEU initiatives.
